Position Summary:

The senior product owner, digital experience defines and manages the product vision and strategy across APS's varied website and mobile experiences, including the main APS website and future mobile opportunities. Aligns these experiences with the organization's strategic objectives, ensuring an efficient and impactful use of our customer-facing web and mobile products. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize requirements, ensuring customer needs are met within time and budget constraints. The role also involves creating and maintaining dynamic product roadmaps and backlogs, continuously refined based on evolving feedback and business requirements, to deliver superior web and mobile-driven solutions and experiences, apply today!

Responsibilities:




  • Strategic Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to align product execution with organizational goals, communicating the product vision and roadmap effectively.



  • Vision and Roadmap: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap, ensuring strategic alignment.



  • User Research: Partner with the experience team for user research, leveraging data analytics to identify trends and opportunities.



  • Backlog Management: Oversee the product backlog, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with development team capabilities.



  • User Story Development: Define and prioritize user stories with clear acceptance criteria, aligning with product goals and user needs.



  • Development Collaboration: Work closely with the development team, providing direction and removing impediments while bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.



  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to product strategy.



  • Feature Prioritization: Prioritize features based on value delivery and user experience enhancement.



  • UX/UI Collaboration: Work with UX/UI teams on concept designs and wireframes, ensuring user-centric product development.


  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, simplifying complex technical topics for diverse audiences.



Scope & Relationships:

  • Product ownership for the overall Salesforce ecosystem, including Nimble AMS, Salesforce CPQ, and associated integrations

  • Working across the full organization to provide develop new Salesforce capabilities



  • Individual contributor role





Education:Bachelor's in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, Engineering, Technology, or related fields required.

Preferred Education:Advanced degree and or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, Engineering, Technology, or related fields preferred.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Minimum of five years of experience in digital product ownership, website management, digital marketing, or technology.
  • Proven expertise in creating and managing digital products, with a focus on customer and strategic outcomes.
  • Advanced understanding of user-centered design and systems thinking frameworks.
  • Proficiency in using product management tools, with a preference for experience with Asana.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and delivering results within specified deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with interdepartmental teams as well as independently through strong organization, documentation, and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced experience working with relevant technologies, including UX/UI design tools (Figma, Photoshop), collaboration tools (LucidChart, Miro, Zoom), project management (Asana, Airtable, Jira), data & analytics (Looker Studio, Tableau), Google Productivity Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).


Travel: The position requires up to 5% of travel for in-person meetings with staff as well as periodic travel to attend meetings and events as part of its core responsibilities, as well as additional travel as assigned.

Salary:

The salary range for this position takes into account various factors influencing compensation decisions, such as skill sets, experience, training, and other business and organizational requirements. The salary listed within the specified ranges considers relevant experience. Our compensation philosophy at APS aims to maintain salaries at the midpoint of the market. As a result, we typically hire within the target starting range. Exceptional, rare cases may merit reviews above target starting range for specialized or niche skills aligned with strategic operational goals.

Hiring Range:$119,392/year - $162,671/year(USD)

Target Starting Range:$119,392/year - $132,823/year (USD)

Work Environment:

As noted above, APS offers a "Remote First" workplace. Although our Editorial Offices are located on Long Island, you can work from other places in the United States. We are flexible about work hours, but expect responsiveness during the core of the workday, Eastern Time.
