HOPE 4 Youth is a nonprofit organization firmly rooted in the goal of ending youth homelessness. Our mission is to provide pathways to end youth homelessness. Our vision is to ensure all youth feel safe, valued, and supported while reaching their full potential. This begins with meeting their basic needs and leads to giving them the tools to thrive. HOPE 4 Youth provides a safe place for youth to access basic needs support, educational and employment programs and opportunities, and transitional housing options. Wages & Benefits

$16.00 per hour; Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST), H4Y sponsors a retirement plan with a 3% employer match and immediate vesting.

Schedule

The Front Desk Specialist will work up to 16 hours per week, nights (varied shifts, 3 p.m. - 11 p.m., 5 p.m. - 11 p.m.) and weekends (7 a.m. - 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. - 11 p.m.), and must be flexible in meeting the needs of the schedule.

While at HOPE Place, you will likely be the only staff member onsite but will have support from supervisors with a check in at the beginning of all weekly shifts and with other team members on the weekend. The team at HOPE Place is very strong, engaging and supportive.

A Typical Day in the Life...

A typical day as HOPE 4 Youth's HOPE Place Front Desk Specialist offers an opportunity to provide general front desk and administrative support while maintaining positive interactions with residents and contributing to a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities will include the following:



  • Provide friendly and professional front desk support by answering phones and taking messages.
  • Check and respond to agency emails each shift to ensure timely communication.
  • Engage with residents in a compassionate and respectful manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks and computer records each shift.
  • Support agency operations by assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture by attending meetings, completing trainings, and offering constructive feedback.

  • You have a high school diploma or GED.
  • You exercise sound judgment in situations where policies may not apply, seeking supervisor guidance as needed.

  • You are reliable, punctual, and pay close attention to detail.
  • You bring excellent interpersonal skills and build respectful, professional relationships while maintaining healthy boundaries.
  • You work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • You are empathetic, open-minded, and able to solve problems while accepting others without judgment.
  • You're physically able to sit for most of your shift and assist with basic resident needs as needed.
  • You have access to reliable transportation.
  • You can pass a NetStudy background check and fingerprinting, as required.
