Research Cardiac Sonographer

The Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute's (HHRI) Berman Center for Clinical Outcomes and Research is seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to support the research of Dr. Charles Herzog being conducted at Hennepin Healthcare's HCMC.

This is an onsite position to work in downtown Minneapolis, MN on or nearby the HCMC campus.

Position Summary:

Under general supervision performs conventional imagining using standard imaging technology and techniques for a multi-site NIH research study. This is a casual role to work at one hemodialysis clinic in the Minneapolis metropolitan area (near the Berman Center)

Job Functions



  • Perform 2-D Doppler and strain imaging before and during hemodialysis sessions in the DaVita Minneapolis Dialysis Unit.


Education/Experience:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be a two year degree in non-invasive cardiology and relevant lab experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in Stress Echo


License/ Certifications



  • Credentialed by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)


OR



  • Credentialed by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)


Skill, Knowledge & Ability (SKA):

Requires interaction with a diverse population. Ability to read, write, and comprehend laboratory procedures, work independently, complete tasks in a timely manner with lack of mistakes, and adhere to institutional safety protocols. Demonstrate high standards of attendance, punctuality, maintains confidentiality, and manages time effectively.
