Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $21.01 - $24.69/ hour

SummaryThe Lead Lab Assistant based in a hospital with an outpatient laboratory is responsible for performing Lab Assistant clinical, clerical, and financial job duties within the scope of laboratory services. In addition, the Lead Lab Assistant assists the Laboratory Supervisor with the scheduling, timekeeping, quality assurance and workflow monitoring of the Clinical Laboratory support services. Participates in employee orientation, training, and competency assessment for Lab Assistants. May assist and provide input to the Lab Supervisor when interviewing, counseling, and preparing performance evaluations. Functions as a resource person both within and outside the laboratory for issues related to Lab Assistant duties. Is knowledgeable of insurance and diagnosis requirements, CPT codes, the document imaging system, and Health Information Management practices. Requirements Educational Requirements
