Develops, implements, and manages processes, procedures and personnel in assigned area(s) of responsibility to ensure timely, accurate and professional resolution of all patient accounts and third party claims. Maintains good relationships (in accordance with Service Excellence) with patients, third party payers, and ancillary departments of Prisma Health. Incumbent will be responsible for part or all of assigned functions as determined by Director.
Essential Functions

Maintains working relationship and works with HIM, Utilization Management, Managed Care and other ancillary departments to reduce AR and denials. Establishes priorities, assigns and monitors work and audits workflow to meet goals for Days Outstanding. Provides direction and leadership for department and its supervisors that report up to this position. Maintains departmental compliance plan and ensures resolution of identified problems. Evaluates work processes/procedures, identifies and resolves problems, and actively seeks opportunities for process improvement. Develops, recommends and implements process changes to improve productivity. Interprets and implements hospital policies relating to disclosures of confidential information. Writes new policies and procedures as new processes are developed and maintains up to date all existing policies and procedures. Attends required meetings and serves on committees Ensures that procedures in areas of responsibility are in compliance. Identifies need for, plans and implements Patient Accounts educational programs for department and other hospital personnel. Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have two or more direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree. Major in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or related field of study preferred. Experience - Five (5) years revenue cycle, business administration, accounting, finance or related experience. Supervisory/leadership experience.
