The Float Nurse is responsible for ensuring the health and safety needs of all residents are met. This position is responsible for ensuring the facility complies with current regulations and standards of practice. This position is also responsible for serving a wide variety of residents across all Ecumen sites by traveling between multiple sites based on Ecumen's needs. - Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm
- 72 hours bi-weekly
- Positions works Monday through Friday
Pay:
- The targeted pay range for this job is $42.00 - $52.00 hourly

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Completes initial assessment of potential residents. Implements service agreements with residents upon move-in as identified by the assigned Ecumen community. Completes AL assessments as needed and reviews/revises service agreements.
- Monitors and maintains each resident's medical record, ensures appropriate assessments are completed timely, documentation is appropriate, and residents have current care plans in place.
- Assists with implementation of physician orders within 24 hours during assignment. Communicates with physicians regarding medications and/or medical conditions.
- Monitors medication administration practice during assignment. Supervises medication practices and medical equipment being used in the building.
- Assists the Clinical Director in providing health and medication training to new team members as well as continued education for all staff and documents such training to assure compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Driving Requirements: Local Travel Required Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the state in which working and must maintain licensure
- Current valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance or reliable transportation and ability to travel to our communities
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in the work environment
- Willingness and ability to travel to various Ecumen sites
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Senior care experience
- Proven leadership abilities
- Previous experience in a float or pool position
