Location: Baton Rouge, LA, 70805
Pay Rate: $35-43 /hr with benefits
Shift Hours (8 Hours/ 10 Hours / 12 Hours): 8 hours per day
Duration: Fulltime permanent

Job Description:


  • Supports financial planning and analysis needs. This involves tasks like preparing budgets, forecasting future financial performance, analyzing financial data, and identifying areas for cost reduction or improvement. They might also be involved in financial reporting and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Our client is looking for someone with strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting planning and budgeting. I need someone who does not need to be hand held and can truly be analytically minded while dealing with both external and internal stakeholders. This person would be able to dig into financials and truly understand the future outlook with accuracy. I want to stress that I am looking for someone that can handle pressure, and not have to walk into a space that everything is perfect.
  • Developing and managing the school's budget, including preliminary, adopted, interim, and final budgets.
  • Analyzing budget variances and providing explanations to school administration.
  • Forecasting:
  • Creating and updating financial forecasts to project future revenue and expenses.
  • Building and maintaining financial models to simulate different scenarios and support decision-making.
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Preparing financial reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
  • Comparing actual financial results to budgeted figures and explaining any significant variances.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the school's financial health.


Required Skills:

  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to school finance.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing and submitting financial reports to relevant authorities.
  • Auditing Support: Working with independent auditors during the annual financial audit.
  • Training and Support: Providing training and support to other staff on finance-related topics.
  • Cost Reduction: Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Collaboration: Working with other departments to gather information and support financial planning.
