Job Description

In this role you have the opportunity to become an integral member of the Production Team for the Mission Systems Displays Group, a leading provider of mission-critical avionics and display system solutions.



Job Summary



The Senior Material Handler is responsible for supporting sales goals by contributing to all aspects of inventory and warehouse functions such as kitting, cycle counting, and data entry. This includes working participation as well as team oversight of the following but not limited to:




  • Accurate kitting to support production, planning, and outside processing
  • Issue materials physically and in the MRP system ensuring transfers are completed correctly
  • Cycle counting
  • Inventory verification/investigation and adjustments
  • Develop personal goals and objectives for continuous improvement in support of Company and Department goals and objectives
  • Maintain workplace organization
  • Resolve most questions and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Working knowledge of existing processes and systems
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Identify process issues and submit recommendations for improvements.



Required Qualifications:




  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically requires 10 years prior inventory experience.
  • Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • Regular, predictable attendance.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • Strong attention to detail and highest levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Oracle experience
  • Aerospace/Aviation experience




Physical Demands/Working Conditions



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Must be able to use/climb rolling ladder in order to reach upper levels.
  • The employee will be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
