Pay Range $168,780 - $214,032 annually Job Description We have an opening for Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Analyst. This individual will contribute across a broad spectrum of site operations at the Laboratory. You will develop and integrate GIS and data analysis tools, addressing operational system applications, while working with members of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of planners, engineers, and Information Technology (IT) staff. This position is in the Enterprise Application Service (EAS) Division within the Computing Directorate, in support of the LivIT Program. This position offers a hybrid schedule, blending in-person and virtual presence. You will have the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week. Qualifications * Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. * Bachelor's degree in Geography, Land/Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and related experience. * Advanced knowledge of basic principles of cartography and graphic design, with demonstrated skills in digital cartography and geographic visualization. * Ability to execute Advanced experience with executing complex desktop GIS analyses. * Advanced experience with Esri ArcGIS desktop or Autodesk AutoCAD and data ETL toolsets. * Significant experience defining the needs and approach for desktop GIS analysis exercises including GIS principles, best practices, and advanced knowledge of Esri's desktop software, such as, ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and ArcCatalog. * Advanced GIS experience implementing Esri-based web/mobile apps, such as, ArcGIS Portal, Web App Developer, Field Maps and/or Survey123. * Significant experience developing automated ETL routines using industry-standard software, such as, Safe Software FME Desktop/Server, Python, and ArcSDE-based spatial views. * Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to effectively collaborate as part of a cohesive team. working with multiple customers and organizations simultaneously with time constraints. * Advanced verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively draft documentation, present, and explain target application area information. Qualifications We Desire * Experience with programming and scripting languages specific to GIS development, web development, and data integration via web services (e.g., Python, XML, JSON, GeoJSON, JavaScript Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, & Bitbucket). * Experience with Safe Software FME Desktop/Server, knowledge of ETL concepts, developing data translations supporting business processes and data/systems integrations.
