Job Summary A Commercial Portfolio Manager (CPM) is responsible for managing existing complex commercial banking relationships, which include the sale and underwriting of credit and non-credit products offered within the commercial bank. While the CPM is not expected to source new business from prospects, they are encouraged to do so under the guidance of the Division Manager or Director. While primary emphasis is placed on strong credit underwriting skills, CPMs shall also possess outstanding customer service skills. CPM is expected to partner with the appropriate commercial banking colleagues (Loan Coordinators, Credit Analysts and Relationship Managers) to deliver credit relationships with the guidance of Credit Administration and the Division Manager or Director. This position will develop and manage complex, middle-market commercial relationships which meet established lending and client selectivity requirements and provide maximum profitability to the Bank with a minimum of risk. Proactively manages existing commercial relationships that can include underwriting new credit opportunities and renewals, ensuring accurate risk ratings, as well as covenant monitoring and reporting.
