 PURPOSE OF POSITION: A 
Lift Maintenance Electronics Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs on all Deer Valley lifts and conveyor systems, with a specialized focus on 
electrical and electronic control systems. This includes work on 
PLCs, circuit boards, low-voltage systems, 
DC and AC drive systems, and 
electrically-driven conveyor belts.
 
 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 
 
 Perform daily startup procedures and periodic inspections of lifts and conveyors in both winter and summer 
 Diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical systems, PLCs, circuit boards, DC and AC drive systems and control panels on aerial lifts and conveyors 
 Assist in in-service and after-hours mechanical and electrical repairs 
 Troubleshoot and service low-voltage control systems and motor drives 
 Participate in safety and technical training, particularly in electrical safety and control systems 
 Maintain clean, organized workspaces and properly store tools and test equipment 
 Participate in daily morning briefings with the maintenance team 
 Ensure timely and accurate completion of records, including maintenance logs, repair documentation, and fault reports 
 Conduct routine mechanical and electrical inspections and system diagnostics 
 Collaborate with other departments within Mountain Operations and the Resort as needed 
 Support seasonal projects and assist in the installation or upgrading of lift electronics and conveyor components 
 Be willing to help out with any mechanical work as needed. 
 QUALIFICATIONS:
 
 
 
 Provide personal hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic tools 
 Experience with PLCs, relay logic, circuit board troubleshooting, DC and AC drive systems and low-voltage systems 
 Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams 
 Comfortable working with conveyor systems, including electrical controls and drive motors 
 Ability to climb lift terminal stairs and tower ladders 
 Ability to lift and position components weighing 50 pounds or more in mountainous terrain 
 Strong skiing ability and comfort navigating resort terrain 
 Ability to work in extreme weather and at heights 
 Accepts direction and instruction readily and works well with others 
 Maintains a positive and guest-focused attitude at all times 
 BASIC WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF:
 
 
 
 Lift operation, theory, and maintenance practices 
 Troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, AC/DC circuits, and power supplies 
 Proficient with DMMs and other electrical testing equipment 
 Familiar with PLC systems, including programming basics and diagnostics (highly preferred) 
 Working knowledge of conveyor belt electrical systems 
 Mechanical, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic system knowledge 
 Safe use of snowmobiles and resort maintenance equipment 
 Understanding of ANSI B77.1 regulations and safety protocols 
 Ability to follow technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
