The Optical Design Engineer is responsible for working within a team of engineers to in development of free space and fiber optical beam delivery devices for high power fiber based lasers. Duties: Support of New Product Development and existing products Optical Analysis of existing designs and new designs Tolerance Studies Troubleshooting and Testing of new optical designs. Hands on Laboratory work. Requirements BS in Engineering or Physics. Optical Engineering preferred. Or equivalent experience. Demonstrate excellent technical writing skills and the ability to provide high quality engineering presentations, reports, and other documents. Strong communication skills required for interaction within group, with internal customers, and R&D Experience in One or More Areas a Plus: Lens Modeling and Design, Zemax preferred Ray Tracing Software Computer Programming, scripting Location(s) 377 Simarano Drive, Marlborough , Massachusetts 01752 , United States Employment Type Exempt US Benefits Information Pay Range: The pay range on this posting applies to the role in the primary location specified.
