Role : Quality Control Technician
Shift: 2 nd , 2:30 p to 12:30 a Monday through Thursday
Wages : $ 25.00, plus 10% shift premium
Summary:
Are you an independent problem solver with experience making data-driven decisions in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment? Are you passionate about advancing scrap-reduction projects and responding directly to customer complaints? While experience with root cause analysis and corrective action are great skills, do you also love driving investigations and dispositioning processes of nonconforming products? At our world-class company, we are not seeking a Quality Control Inspector, but rather a self-motivated and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic Quality Team.
Job Description :
  • Plan and conduct comprehensive analysis, inspection, testing, and integration to assure the highest quality of products and components.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to evaluate processes and implement changes efficiently.
  • Document data rigorously, aligning with company policies and procedures.
  • Innovate and develop new approaches to solve challenges identified during quality assurance activities.
  • Communicate impactful issues or developments and propose process improvements.
  • Prepare and present insightful technical reports and program information.
  • Monitor, analyze, and strategically reduce scrap through process improvements.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Excellent work history
  • A solid mechanical aptitude and capability in basic statistical techniques and Statistical Process Control.
  • Proven experience with engineering drawings and blueprints interpretation.
  • Competence in an ERP computer environment, preferably SAP.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems in an ISO 9001/17025 environment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with integrity and professionalism.
  • Leading or participating in Six Sigma projects.
  • The ability to lift, push, pull 50 lbs. regularly and work in hot and cold environments (around molten metal).
Your Background:
  • A 2-year technical school degree in a STEM or related field, or a military equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Independent problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making experience.
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action with experience independently driving investigations and dispositioning processes of nonconforming product.
  • Experience responding directly to customer complaints.
  • Scrap reduction in manufacturing processes.
  • Desired certifications such as Six Sigma Yellow Belt or ASQ Certified Quality Technician.
