The Cloud Product Infrastructure Margin team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft's Cloud-first strategy. The Data Center Infrastructure and Strategy team drives portfolio-level decision-making for Microsoft's global data center investments. As a key member of this team, you will shape strategic partnerships and lead competitive intelligence efforts to sustain Microsoft Cloud's leadership position. We are seeking a Group Finance Manager - Cloud Infrastructure to oversee critical infrastructure investments and synthesize insights across the infrastructure stack to drive efficiency and strategic alignment.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning Alignment: Partner with data center (DC) demand and supply planning teams to ensure financial strategies are aligned with infrastructure growth, capacity needs, and long-range planning objectives, including key supply-side initiatives like liquid cooling transition, SKU roadmap alignment and AI Whale/Training supply. Cross-Functional Integration: Act as a finance liaison across DC, networking, and operations teams to drive a cohesive plan on infrastructure efficiencies and KPIs. Drive business development initiatives by identifying infrastructure growth opportunities across AI and DC portfolios, aligning financial strategies with emerging technologies such as liquid cooling, SKU transitions, and AI training capacity. Lead deal and option analysis to evaluate investment scenarios, infrastructure trade-offs, and long-range planning impacts, enabling data-driven decisions that optimize cost efficiency and strategic value. Insight-Driven Decision Support: Translate operational plans into financial impacts, identifying risks and opportunities to optimize cost efficiency and return on investment. Synthesize diverse data sources into clear executive summaries for leadership decisions. |
