Position Summary
THIS IS A TIME-LIMITED POSITION WITH AN ESTIMATED DURATION OF 3 YEARS.
This is a new position being created to support behavioral health research activities led by Dr. Andrea Knittel. Justice Core is a jail diversion intervention for pregnant people with substance use disorders. The principal responsibilities of this position include project management for the research and evaluation activities related to the Justice Core intervention. In particular, this position focuses on the management of external research relationships and partnerships with Justice Core, managing and monitoring behavioral health services within Justice Core, and coordinating data collection and management, data analysis, and research reporting. The individual in this position will also provide behavioral health services for Justice Core.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Must be expert in MS Office and Teams; very strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to work independently; must be able to analyze and interpret policy and procedural guidelines and apply those guidelines appropriately, must be skilled in organizing workflow and coordinating multiple priorities. Must have experience providing case management or other behavioral health services in the context of pregnancy, incarceration, and substance use; must have experience conducting research with pregnant or postpartum people who are currently incarcerated and experience working with prisons, jails, courts, and legal professionals in the conduct of research.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Due to the nature of the research, the ideal candidate will have experience related to public health research or practice and will demonstrate willingness to learn new areas as the position demands. Must be able to convey information to individuals; present information clearly and effectively in written and verbal form using correct grammar, organization, and sentence structure; must be able to assemble, compile and organize both written and electronic information; must be able to identify and understand issues quickly; must be an expert at computers and the applications listed and willing to learn new applications as the position demands.
