Job Title: Machinist Department: MERC College/Division: Mercer Engineering Research Center Primary Job Posting Location: Warner Robins, GA 31088-7810 Job Details: Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC), a research institute of Mercer University, provides high quality engineering, scientific, and technical support services to both government and private industry customers. The Machinist provides support to engineers in the areas of mechanical fabrication and prototyping under the supervision of the mechanical chief engineer. Expected to perform non-repetitive assignments of a complex and difficult nature involving the set-up and operation of a wide variety of machine tool equipment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: -Ability to obtain university Approved Driver Card (ADC) -Experience in application of anodizing, primer and paint -Certified forklift operator is preferred Final rank will be determined on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
