Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize advanced network communications systems in support of mission-critical operations. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable network performance that meets both current and future business needs.

Responsibilities

    Design & Planning: Develop and document network architecture, including detailed specifications, schematics, and capacity planning to ensure long-term scalability.
  • Analysis & Evaluation: Conduct cost/benefit analyses to recommend the most effective hardware, software, and tools for implementation. Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance network performance and capabilities.
  • Implementation & Testing: Oversee network design testing, installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Ensure proper configuration of routers, firewalls, multiplexers, hubs, bridges, gateways, and related components.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor and maintain network hardware operations to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Plan and execute system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Advisory Support: Provide expert guidance to network users on system requirements, configurations, and limitations. Serve as a trusted advisor on network capabilities and constraints.

Technical Expertise: Maintain advanced knowledge of interconnection and interfacing of network and computer hardware/software to support seamless integration across platforms.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI with relevant polygraph (required).
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and 12 years of related experience, or
    • Master's degree (MS/MA) with a minimum of 10 years of related experience, or
    • Doctoral degree (PhD) with a minimum of 7 years of related experience, or
    • An additional 4 years of relevant technical experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated and current proficiency in the design, configuration, and integration of network and computer hardware/software, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, and related systems.
  • Innovation & Evaluation: Proven ability to evaluate and report on emerging communications technologies to enhance network capabilities.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
