Spectra Tech Inc is looking for a Quality Supervisor for Southaven, MS.
Job Description: The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of quality and food safety in a food production facility. This role involves supervising a team of quality assurance (QA) technicians, enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other quality-related policies, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. The Quality Supervisor works closely with other departments, including production, and maintenance, to identify and resolve quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and maintain a culture of food safety. Key Functions: Supervise and Lead the QA Team: * Manage and direct the daily workflow of the quality department, including scheduling, training, and performance management of QA technicians. * Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment. * Ensure all team members are trained on and adhere to food safety and quality procedures. Implement and Maintain Quality and Food Safety Programs: * Oversee and enforce the facility's food safety and quality programs, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), GMPs, and sanitation procedures. * Conduct regular internal audits and inspections of the facility, processes, and products to ensure compliance with established standards. * Review and verify all quality and production-related documentation, such as batch records, test results, and check sheets. Ensure Product Quality and Compliance: * Monitor and audit the quality control of raw materials, packaging components, and finished products. * Conduct or oversee analytical, microbiological, and sensory testing to ensure products meet specifications. * Manage the "On Hold" product program, including the status, release, or destruction of non-conforming products. * Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including customer complaints, by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Regulatory and Audit Preparedness: * Maintain current knowledge of all relevant food safety laws and regulations (e.g., FSMA, USDA, FDA). * Prepare for and participate in all regulatory, third-party, and customer audits and inspections. * Ensure all required documentation is accurate and readily available for audit purposes. Drive Continuous Improvement: * Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement in processes and products. * Make recommendations and implement solutions to enhance work efficiency and product quality. |
