SUMMARY: To maintain slurry system for shipment to secondary processor and ensure the Single Pass Process and the Dryer is running smoothly by relieving Operators and communicating with all crew members. Assist Operators as needed to maximize throughputs and yield, while minimizing waste and downtime.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. The Organization chart indicated key personnel with the authority to take action.

  • Supply appropriate Fruit to Process, help maintain proper fruit blend, communicate issues, maintain appropriate dump levels.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, monitor Atlas peelers, conveyor systems, seed reels, Urschels, disintegrator system. Execute change over procedures, adjust equipment, relieve operators for breaks as necessary.
  • Manage Slurry Tanks, change valves, pump slurry, operate disintegrators, pumps, tanks, augers. Test slurry, properly clean slurry system as required. Complete paperwork and documentation as required.
  • Operate forklift, perform cleaning duties, perform startup / shutdown procedures, assist in operation of business, maintain sanitary process area.
  • Follow proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, HAZCOM, chemical safety, wear required personal protective equipment, report unsafe conditions/acts to a supervisor, follow all safety rules and regulations.

  • Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Frequently lift and/ or move up to 50lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for paperwork, driving and reading specifications, distance vision to drive the forklift, color vision to check product color and identify packaging color differences.
