Product Manager. Developer

Internal Applications Team

This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Cupertino, CA; Culver City, CA; or San Diego, CA (San Diego preferred).


Summary
We are seeking an experienced full-stack Product Manager-Developer to build and support internal web applications and services. This role requires strong technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to balance detail-oriented problem-solving with big-picture thinking. You will contribute to the development of scalable, cloud-based applications while partnering across operational, technical, and creative teams.

Our Ideal Candidate


  • 5+ years of relevant development experience



  • Passion for building user-friendly, scalable applications with a strong foundation in front-end and back-end development



  • Proficient in React, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, Git, and MVC frameworks (Laravel, Ruby on Rails, etc.)



  • Skilled in PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases) and able to quickly learn and apply new database technologies



  • Familiar with automated testing frameworks (PHP Unit, Cypress, Selenium), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and APIs (Wrike, Box, Slack, Quip)



  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach, with strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences



  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously



  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving both individual and team success



  • Bonus: Experience with ML/AI (particularly RAG systems), Docker/Kubernetes, Laravel Livewire, AlpineJS, or Python




Job Description
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain internal applications and services that support the organization's workflows and business processes. You'll partner with design, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, user-focused solutions that scale. This includes writing high-quality, tested code, creating and reviewing technical documentation, and supporting integrations with internal and third-party applications.

You will also provide technical guidance, collaborate on sprint planning and story writing, and contribute to evolving team processes. Supporting the success of the internal applications team, you'll balance hands-on development with cross-functional collaboration to ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with organizational goals.


Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience



  • Background in full-stack development, cloud-based applications, and database design



  • Experience with macOS, Visual Studio Code, Terminal, Jira, Confluence, and productivity suites (Keynote, Pages, Numbers)

The pay for this W-2 position ranges by location:




  • Cupertino, CA: $93.00/hr



  • Culver City, CA: $83.18/hr



  • San Diego, CA: $93.00/hr




This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
