The Supervisor of Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and delivery of all IT infrastructure and related IT operations used to enable business capabilities and services across the enterprise. The supervisor of I&O is a senior level professional that brings experience, knowledge, and oversite to the I&O function within IT. Oversees a staff of professionals that design infrastructure solutions, execute infrastructure and other IT projects, ensure system policy and compliance, as well as supporting the daily operational functions including system health monitoring, incident response, change management and vulnerability remediation. Assists in the development of strategic and operational I&O plans and ensures they are in line with corporate and functional strategy. Serves as a mentor for and provides day-to-day guidance to technical employees within I&O responsibilities.

  • Works collaboratively with direct reports to support their career progression, nurture their development and to help them realize their potential.
  • Improves IT resilience by coordinating efforts that improve reliability, tolerability, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Leading cloud adoption (at scale), including establishing governance mechanisms, delivering migration projects and modifying I&O's target operating model.
  • Drives alignment of I&O strategies to the organization's environmental, social and governance goals by tracking datacenter ESG metrics with the solutions hosted at co-located & cloud datacenters.
  • Supports a comprehensive and integrated IT Service Management (ITSM) landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines, and related toolsets. This includes delivery of a comprehensive IT asset management program.
  • Supports and enforces a formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by I&O teams. Supports periodic reviews by audit teams, compliance teams and other risk-related functions as required.
  • Building cloud management solutions, including infrastructure development, integration, and ongoing engineering aspects.
  • Developing governance practices to track and measure the quality of services, and maintain service improvement plans.
  • Owns the corporate Microsoft 365 service portfolio and responsible for administering Cleco's global tenant. Stays up to date on new Microsoft 365 features and coordinates deploying them across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Required Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years people management experience preferred
  • Self-starter who self-assesses and solicits feedback from others to improve their performance.
  • Strong understanding of Server Infrastructure and Datacenter technology.
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to make decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
  • Understanding of third-party management, working closely with sourcing and vendor managers.
