Kodak is expanding its presence in the life sciences industry, building a new division focused on supplying high-quality reagents and research solutions. We are seeking a seasoned Inside Sales Representative to join our pharmaceutical group and support business development through lead generation, prospect engagement, and customer relationship building. This is a high-impact role supporting a small, agile team where your contributions will directly influence Kodak's growth in the life sciences market. The new facility features a state-of-the-art water purification system, and we wish to capitalize on the availability of the excess capacity of Ultra- Pure Water for sale into unregulated markets.
Responsibilities:
* Identify, contact, and qualify new prospects across biotech, pharma, and academic research institutions.
* Execute targeted outreach campaigns via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn to drive top-of-funnel activity and grow a qualified pipeline.
* Set up discovery meetings with key decision-makers including lab managers, principal investigators, and procurement professionals.
* Develop relationships with stakeholders at research institutions, contract organizations, and pharmaceutical companies.
* Maintain and manage accurate contact and pipeline data in our CRM system, ensuring full visibility of sales activities.
* Work closely with marketing, business development and business teams to align messaging, share field feedback, and refine go-to-market strategies.
* Develop a working knowledge of scientific workflows and laboratory processes to effectively engage with a customer audience.
Qualifications:
* Strong sales mindset with an initiative-taking approach, consistent outreach, and comfort initiating conversations with potential customers.
* Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage confidently in conversations with scientists, researchers, and other technical stakeholders. Highly organized and meticulous, with demonstrated strength in pipeline management and consistent follow-up.
* Proven record of thriving in early-stage environments where structure is evolving, and individual contributions are highly impactful.
* Proficient in CRM systems, sales tools, and platforms.
* Collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute cross-functionally and share insights to enhance sales team strategy and messaging.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of inside sales, business development, or lead generation experience; experience in the life sciences industry is highly preferred
* Specific Experience selling UPW into adjacent markets (such as chip manufacturers) is a large value add.
* Familiarity with laboratory workflows, reagents, or research consumables is a strong advantage.
* Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business field preferred; equivalent professional experience also valued.
* Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce.
