Job Announcement

Do you have the unique skillset of troubleshooting content management systems, scanners and maintaining digital archival records and materials. If so, then join the Archives team of professionals. We are seeking a specialized Information Technician I to maintain the organization's digital archival records and materials. This role typically involves working in a facility or warehouse where historical documents, records, photographs, artifacts, or other valuable materials are stored for preservation and access. Provides archive help desk and inventory control support on enterprise multifunctional systems to include HP Content Manager or comparable enterprise content management system, scanners, etc. Troubleshoots problems related to system software. Reports findings to help desk and coordinates problem resolution with vendors as needed. Prepares performance measurement management reports. Some of the key tasks and responsibilities associated with the role of an Info technician is perform archival inventory and data entry into archival management software or databases. Performs a variety of analytical and programming tasks to enhance, configure and install enterprise and business application specific software images, collaborating with technical staff across technology disciplines to accomplish work with underlying technologies such as client-server, service-oriented, database or web-based environments. Performs other duties as required.


Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from high school; plus either one year of specialized experience or two years of general experience in the installation and troubleshooting of personal computers, network/telecommunications systems; or possession of an associate's degree in computer science or related field.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with HP Content Manager or comparable enterprise content management system. Familiar with scanning and digital conversion technologies and equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365 software especially Word, Excel, and Access. Proficiency with SharePoint. Two or more years of records management experience in the public sector (Federal/State/Local Government). Experience in customer service. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Experience in a records center or similar environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally sedentary and performed in a normal office environment. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
