Job Description:



  • Conducting metallurgical testing and analysis of metals and alloys
  • Preparing samples for microscopic examination, chemical analysis, and mechanical testing
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment such as spectrometers, hardness testers, and microscopes
  • Recording and interpreting test data, preparing detailed reports, and presenting findings to engineering teams
  • Performing failure analysis on metal components to determine causes of defects
  • Ensuring all laboratory procedures comply with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Participating in the development and improvement of testing methods and protocols
  • Collaborating with metallurgists and engineers to resolve technical issues
  • Maintaining accurate records of test results and laboratory activities
  • Assisting in research and development projects related to new materials and processes


Preferred Skills:



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using laboratory software and data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with metallurgical testing standards and procedures
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements in a laboratory setting
  • Basic understanding of metallurgical principles and testing techniques
  • Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment
