The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an Electronic Technician A, Cal Lab to support our government customer located in Kekaha, Hawai'i. Individual shall be capable of performing calibrations on all types of Physical/Mechanical and Electronic/Electrical M&TE in accordance with the Navy Metrology Program Guidelines. Assist the Lab Technicians with problems they may encounter during calibrations. Assist with troubleshooting and repair as required on all types of M&TE. Assist with assessing use of calibration equipment. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling over 25-50 pounds (with a 2-person assist). Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, and crawling, kneeling or cramped work, requiring repeated stooping. The environment will include customer contact, extended workdays, in a confined work area of an office laboratory with an electronics shop environment. Must be able to work in sub-floor areas and crawl spaces in performing calibrations and troubleshooting tasks. REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Two (2) year technical school or equivalent training such as electronic school or Military "A" school TACAN maintenance or electronics or equivalent.
