The incumbent will primarily be responsible for providing support to team members to help achieve our business goals and project objectives across Enbridge Gas' franchise area. What You Will Do:

  • Assist with the timely response to incoming stakeholder inquiries (from the website, social media, residents, etc.) by answering general questions and directing specific inquiries as appropriate, including related follow up and supporting regional teams as necessary.

  • Assist in the preparation of payments and accruals across several financial software platforms, the development and maintenance of financial tracking reports, and provide guidance on budgets and forecasts under the guidance and direction of the team's managers.

  • Assist with identifying and addressing communications needs to support Municipal and Stakeholder Affairs, including the organization of event plans, coordinating the development of marketing materials, updating website information, supporting corporate citizenship initiatives and promoting engagement activities on internal and external channels.

  • Support the preparation, updating and maintenance of process documentation, and analyze processes to identify trends and improvement opportunities, and make recommendations to leadership.

  • Support reporting activities, including tracking engagement activities and maintaining a calendar of events.

  • Maintain a list of municipal associations, caucus groups, as well as provide ad hoc research on events and conferences to support Enbridge visibility.

  • Contribute to conference planning efforts and manage logistics and collaborate with relevant teams to schedule and facilitate meetings, including presentation development.

  • Participate in crisis support as required.

Who You Are:

  • Related University degree with minimum of two years work experience in a public affairs area or equivalent such as stakeholder engagement, community relations, communications, or related field.

  • Familiar with policy, processes and organization support functions.

  • Understanding of a large, public company with operations in multiple regions.

  • Excellent communications skills (written, presentation, listening, attention to detail).

  • Strong organizational, problem solving and collaboration skills.

  • Prioritization and time management skills.

  • A high degree of flexibility to adapt to multiple and competing priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical professional work hours that could extend to weekends and evenings for special projects, events, or emergencies.

  • Frequent telephone and personal contact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Job may involve working to tight deadlines.

  • Role may require some travel.

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
