The Consortium and State Relations Coordinator position is located within the Consortium and State Relations (CSR) department and will report to the Assistant Director of Consortium Relations. The role of the State Relations Coordinator will interface both with internal WIDA personnel and external interest holders. This position will be responsible for supporting CSR and WIDA Subcommittee events, activities, communications, and initiatives. WIDA Subcommittees consist of internal WIDA experts and state education agency staff that meet to advise on projects across WIDA. Subcommittee meetings are held virtually except for an annual in-person meeting. We encourage applicants from all locations to apply. However, preference will be given to candidates residing in or near Madison, WI as this position may occasionally require on-site work at our Madison office. Remote work is an option for this position on a voluntary basis; however, it is important to note that this role is headquartered in Madison, WI, and the tasks of the position require occasional work-related travel. If working remotely out-of-state, travel back to UW-Madison would not be reimbursable, and other business travel will require cost comparisons between your home and Madison, WI. UW Travel Policy and Remote Work Policies outline business travel requirements for fully remote employees, and WIDA is committed to supporting employees with their business travel and minimizing or eliminating out-of-pocket expenses whenever possible. WIDA operates in a Windows-based environment and a Dell PC laptop will be issued for use in this role.Software and virtual connection tools that are critical to our work dictate that WIDA staff work on a PC.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Manages information and communications, including collecting, compiling, developing, archiving, reviewing, editing, and disseminating
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for a designated work unit to contribute to the day-to-day operational success
- Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions in support of the assigned operational work unit(s)
- Assists, recommends, and advises staff on unit or program administrative issues, personnel matters, and budgetary problems
- Implements and executes established policies and procedures for a designated work unit to adhere to unit objectives and to align with established strategies
- Serves on committees and attends meetings, representing the interests of the unit or program

Compensation:
Minimum: $50,000.00 annually The typical starting range for this position is $50,000-55,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience scheduling, facilitating, and documenting virtual and/or in-person meetings with internal and external interest holders.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships within a collaborative team environment and with cross-functional partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including summarizing meetings and managing follow-up.
- Proficient in communication and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and Zoom.
- Strong attention to detail, improving processes, and identifying efficiencies
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage and prioritize concurrent activities, communications, calendars, and documents
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with subject matter experts to facilitate project deliverables within established timeframes
- Experience coordinating governance structures (e.g. board or directors, executive team, committees) to optimize meeting structure, documentation, and follow ups
Education:
Bachelor's degree required
