TekSystems is currently hiring for several FULLY REMOTE Medical Enrollment Specialists roles. MUST HAVE: Any medical/healthcare enrollment experience, or medical claims experience, OR a recent bachelor's degree related to healthcare! Description The Enrollment Department is responsible for member eligibility and enrollment Process a lot of manual applications and 834 files- electronic files that come over from various groups to upload their groups memberships Responsible for any errors Make sure everything is correct in their system and pharmacy system so it doesn't impact their coordination of care They are bringing on 2 contractors for Open Enrollment - work load will double and permanent staff of 15 can not handle it. Lines of business - Commercial, small group - that's the easiest of their functions (no modified benefits, sell those out of the box) Could potentially support other lines of business within commercial (large group_ They will stay on small group for atleast 3 months, then could introduce to mid or large group - only difference is large group can modify their benefits Small group - 1-50 members Mid market 51- 150 Large - over 150 Through 12/31- typically keep them 6 months Depending on work load could keep them past 6 months From her experience a lot of those contractors went permanent Normal day- TRAINING - First day - departmental orientation TC will go over expectations for that employee and go over departmental policies Training will last 5 days and that's when they will learn the basic functions of the job - opportunity to do a lot of hands on training After training, partnered with a seasoned enrollment specialist- that ES will watch them, give them feedback Once they receive the feedback from the senior ES, that will help us determine if they are ready to be let loose After training day to day - Working through emails, responding to group inquiries Making sure their system matches what the group is requesting Expectations / metrics - base it off of someone who is doing that same function Nothing formal but we do review their productivity Biggest thing is the quality score - audited every month - 40 transactions per month they get audited on - right now the expectation is 99% That will be changing 10/1 - new database - will have a rolling quality First 60 days - 93% 61-90 - 94% After 90 days - 95% and higher Groups - Small group has about 5,000 roughly Large group - 120 Additional Skills & Qualifications What people who can think critically - found that people with a bachelors degree do well Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
