Artificial Intelligence Product Owner

The Opportunity:

Do you embrace a dynamic work environment and want to work where Information Technology (IT) underpins the mission? We are looking for an AI Product Owner who can work within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) organization to work directly with the Product Manager and team members to analyze and respond to user inquiries and assist with improving project efficiency and effectiveness. Your efforts will help integrate AI tools and products into an existing network environment.

You know that Product Owners represent the needs of end-users and manage relationships, synthesize data, maintain the team backlog, and communicate with stakeholders. You drive results and ensure that product strategy and implementation remain connected across teams. You will work directly with clients to help ensure tasks are managed effectively. You will engage with clients to collect, understand, and define their IT requirements, and analyze and translate those requirements into project plans and milestones. You will contribute to translating larger program goals and concepts into well-designed project plans to assist the client in developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience with project management
  • 5+ years of experience supporting programs within the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Experience as a product owner, including with generative AI implementation initiatives, digital transformation, IT modernization, or M365 Software as a Service (SaaS) deployments
  • Experience implementing and managing AI-driven tools across large IT enterprise and mission-critical environments, including backlog prioritization, feature definition, and stakeholder alignment
  • Experience with Agile delivery and product lifecycle management
  • Experience across the full lifecycle of enterprise AI initiatives, including requirements definition, model validation, test planning, rollout coordination, and long-term sustainment of AI-enabled platforms
  • Experience developing program or project briefings and product strategy updates for senior military and government officials
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, including awareness campaigns, training programs, and engagement with industry partners
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience implementing Copilot for M365, Copilot Chat, and Copilot Studio, including backlog grooming and user story development
  • Experience leading large-scale DoD IT modernization or Azure cloud migration efforts within an Azure enterprise cloud environment
  • Experience providing support to the Department of the Navy, Navy leadership, or Naval Commands, including in roles involving direct engagement with senior-level clients and key stakeholders
  • Possession of excellent cross-functional or cross-organizational stakeholder management and customer outreach skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
