Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about digital marketing, storytelling, and engaging with online communities. The Social Media Intern will assist in managing and growing our online presence across various platforms, contributing to campaigns that align with our brand voice and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and curating engaging content (text, images, graphics, videos) for social media platforms. Schedule and publish posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter/X. Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and messages; respond or escalate when necessary. Track and analyze performance metrics (reach, engagement, followers, impressions) to evaluate effectiveness. Support campaign planning and execution, including brainstorming ideas for new initiatives. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging. Assist in community engagement and building meaningful relationships with followers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with major social media platforms. Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and design Basic knowledge of Canva Knowledge of Photoshop or video editing tools is a plus. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Must be attending a college or university in the state of Tennessee
