Department Summary The College of Science at the University of North Texas consists of the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Data Analytics & Statistics and the interdisciplinary programs Teach North Texas, BioDiscovery Institute, and Advanced Environmental Research Institute. The college offers Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in science and mathematics, currently serving more than 4,000 majors. Our faculty are world-class researchers in science, mathematics, and data analytics. The college faculty and staff work together to provide excellent support to our students in their academic education and professional development. Position Overview This position is responsible for assisting College of Science researchers with postaward, uniform guidance, and local spending compliance. Serving as a liaison between researchers, department staff, and the Office of Grants and Contracts Administration (GCA) regarding sponsored project spending at the post award stage. Supervising college staff that assists researchers with award spending. Various types of budgetary activities that requires similar skill sets. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Research administration work experience. Working knowledge of sponsor requirements, systems and forms, as well as Research Services forms and processes, i.e., GRAMS, Current and Pending, Routing, and Cost Shares. Knowledge of DoD, DOE, NASA, NIST, DARPA, NSF and other funding agencies relevant to the disciplines served. Working knowledge of UNT systems and forms related to budgeting, procurement and payroll and application to both grant and nongrant processes. Preferred Qualifications Three to five years of experience working in post award administration. Job Duties
