Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-orientedSenior Financial Analystto join our Accounting Operations team. This role is pivotal in supporting our organization's general ledger accounting and financial reporting needs. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate and timely provision of financial information, in compliance with Nestle's reporting policies and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis:Gather and interpret financial information to create meaningful and concise analyses, considering a broad range of interdependent issues.
  • Data Interpretation:Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
  • Collaboration:Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Compliance:Ensure adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Process Improvement:Participate in initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the general ledger accounting function.
  • General Ledger Maintenance:Accurately record all financial transactions and update the general ledger in a timely manner.
  • Journal Entries:Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and complete recording of financial transactions.
  • Reconciliation:Regularly reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Ad-Hoc Support:Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
  • Training and Coaching:Train and coach finance users in the adoption and implementation of analytical tools and address system issues identified by business stakeholders.
  • Additional Duties:Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience:Minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
  • Knowledge:Solid understanding of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Systems Proficiency:Experience with SAP and Blackline reconciliation platform.
  • Process Mapping:Experience in process mapping and automation tools.
  • Certification:CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
