POSITION SUMMARY

Psychological lead for units as assigned. Conducting group psychotherapy, individual therapy, and psychological testing. Consultation for clinical programming needs. May assist with supervision of graduate level psychology students.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Licensure:

Psy.D or Ph.D in Psychology with PA License in Psychology (preferably clinical psychology), or a Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an APA accredited institution in the post- doctoral year with the goal to achieve licensure and psychologist status and continue with our team

JOB DUTIES

  1. Serves as the clinical/psychological lead for 2 units and works collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team. Attends treatment teams on those units daily.
  2. Provides guidance to the units with respect to division of groups for programming purposes and for the overall clinical functioning of the hospital.
  3. Assists with determining appropriate referrals for individual therapy, psychological testing, and individual programming needs in conjunction with the treatment team.
  4. Provides group therapy with adults or adolescents as requested.
  5. Provides individual therapy with adults and adolescents as requested.
  6. Perform psychological testing as needed, including cognitive functioning, adaptive functioning, personality functioning, and neuropsychological screening. This includes writing complete psychological reports based on the findings of the assessments.
