POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Brandywine is seeking a Career Development Strategist to offer and to oversee services provided to students, alumni, employers, and faculty related to student career exploration, preparation, and progression. Reporting directly to the Chief Academic Officer (CAO), the Strategist ensures delivery of high-quality career services. Key offerings may include individual counseling, career fairs, workshops, classroom visits, and employer outreach-often in collaboration with faculty, campus, University, and community partners. The role also involves collecting and analyzing data to assess impact, drive continuous improvement, and produce reports for internal and external stakeholders. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong ability to support students from all cultural and economic backgrounds.

This position may offer a flexible work arrangement that combinesremoteand on-campus work.Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

  • Employer Relations Build and manage partnerships with employers; oversee recruitment programming and campus engagement. Develop policies and ensure ethical practices in employer outreach.

  • Student Career Support Provide career counseling and advising for students and alumni, including job search strategies, graduate school preparation, and career planning.

  • Career Programming Plan and execute events including, but not limited to, career fairs, networking nights, workshops on career-related topics, and internship coordination support.

  • Policy & Compliance Implement career services policies aligned with legal and professional standards; evaluate tools and platforms for compliance.

  • Reporting & Data Produce annual reports and analyze survey data to improve services and assess program effectiveness. Share graduate outcomes with stakeholders.

  • Collaboration & Committees Serve on University committees and act as liaison to advisory boards to advance career development initiatives.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

If filled as Career Services Specialist - Senior Professional, this position requires: Master's Degree 6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None If filled as Career Services Specialist - Advanced Professional, this position requires: Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $89,600.00.
