We are seeking a Student Success Coordinator to join our team in support of the United States Naval Community College (USNCC). This role is fully remote and focused on helping students succeed academically by providing responsive, personalized advising and support.

In this position, you'll play a key role in guiding students through academic planning, supporting persistence, and contributing to the mission of educating service members nationwide.

This position is tied to an upcoming contract award and will move forward upon award.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized virtual academic advising on USNCC and partner institution degree programs.
  • Guide students/faculty in program choice, enrollment, course selection, and academic planning.
  • Monitor and report on academic progress, identify at-risk students, and escalate or intervene as required.
  • Maintain and update accurate student records and document all student interactions.
  • Conduct triage/routing of student and faculty inquiries to the appropriate USNCC workstreams/staff.
  • Update, track, and respond to cases using USNCC systems (Salesforce, Confluence, JIRA).
  • Disseminate weekly newsletters, announcements, and performance-based student communications.
  • Attend and document online meetings, group, and individual advising events.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support: knowledge base, agendas, meeting minutes, SOP updates.
  • Engage in continuous process improvement, recommend outreach modifications, and follow escalation protocols.
Requirements

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a T1/Public Trust background investigation (active clearances such as Public Trust, Secret, or Top Secret preferred). Must be able to pass a favorably adjudicated NACI with FBI fingerprint check and obtain/maintain a contractor CAC.

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (Education, Counseling, or related field preferred)

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with student advising or support in higher education or military environments.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Amazon Connect, Confluence, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong recordkeeping, case management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with military culture (e.g., prior service, military spouse, DoD/DON civilian experience).
  • Understanding of USNCC programs and mission.
