Description

The Senior Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, inspection, sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. They will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available for procedures. They will be knowledgeable in sterile processing standards and serve as a patient safety advocate.

Required Qualifications:



  • Coursework/Training: Sterile Processing Technician and Distribution, or
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of an accredited Surgical Techician program or proof of challenging and passing a national surgical Technician Certification exam.
  • Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or
  • Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, or
  • Upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
  • 3 years of experience in Sterile Processing or knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
