Position Description

  • Coordinate, direct, and monitor all environmental compliance and protection programs involving air regulations for Cross Generating Station. Administer the station PSM program..


  • Essential Tasks:
  • Manage environmental compliance programs pertaining to all air permits for Cross Generating Station. Develop, coordinate and implement environmental programs, policies, and procedures which assure compliance with federal, state, local, and site permit and regulatory requirements. Must have necessary knowledge and skill to operate software and hardware for Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) Acquisition Systems.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate filing system and environmental information system. Communicate non-compliance events, public/media issues, and environmental testing/inspection activities to facility management team members and corporate personnel.
  • Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of all required routine and non-routine environmental documentation and reports to corporate and regulatory agencies. This includes data verification, data back up, missing data substitution, report generation and quarterly 40 CFR Part 60 Subpart Da and EDR report submittal to Generation Main office.
  • Maintain all CEMS systems in ready working order according to applicable regulations and the operating needs of the plant. Oversee maintenance, calibration, and replacement of all CEMS equipment and related computers and PLCs.
  • Assist in the assessment of potential environmental and regulatory consequences of any significant changes resulting from modified operations or new projects. Identify and evaluate compliance trends and recommend corrective actions or system improvements as needed to ensure that environmental requirements are met.
  • Provide counsel and training to management and employees on both existing and emerging environmental requirements.
  • Perform quarterly linearity test and Cylinder Gas Audits (CGA).
  • Maintains and updates station ammonia equipment information and P&ID's in support of the station PSM program. Leads PHAs, compliance audits, and safety reviews and informs management of recommendations for the PSM program.
  • Follow standard safety and environmental procedures and take prompt action to correct safety and environmental hazards.

  • Technician A
  • High school diploma/GED + 5 years directly related experience required.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend environmental regulations, electrical circuit drawings, blueprints and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at elevations above and below grade, and accommodate overtime and on-call status.
  • Environmental compliance background preferred.


  • Compensation Information
    $36.25 - $45.20 (min. - mid.)

    Technician B
  • High school diploma/GED + 2 years directly related experience required.
  • Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at elevations above and below grade, and accommodate overtime and on-call status.
  • Environmental compliance background preferred.


  • Compensation Information
    $26.45 - $33.05 (min. - mid.)

    Technician C
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at elevations above and below grade, and accommodate overtime and on-call status.
  • Environmental compliance background preferred.

    $21.55 - $26.90 (min. - mid.)
