Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a Refurbishment Technician II to support the Minuteman III Launch Facility (LF) Refurbishment contract. This position is responsible for leading and performing refurbishment, corrosion control, and maintenance activities to ensure the operational readiness of assigned facilities, vehicles, and equipment. The Technician may serve as a Team Chief or Team Member and will be accountable for the safe and compliant execution of refurbishment tasks in accordance with Air Force technical orders, engineering procedures, and contractual requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 2-8 technicians performing LF refurbishment tasks.
- Conduct pre- and post-dispatch activities, including briefings, debriefings, equipment/vehicle inspections, and technical reviews.
- Direct personnel in the execution of daily work packages IAW technical orders and directives.
- Conduct initial and recurring proficiency task training.
- Ensure assigned personnel are properly trained and qualified for all tasks.
- Monitor task performance to ensure safety and procedural compliance.
- Document maintenance in the approved Air Force maintenance data collection system.
- Identify and document discrepancies; initiate parts/material requests and coordinate with Production Support.
- Ensure hazardous waste is properly collected, segregated, and delivered to the Air Force collection point.
- Secure and inventory all resources at the end of each workday.
- Execute refurbishment tasks including crane operations, confined space operations, corrosion control, and shop work.
- Perform corrosion inspection, preventive maintenance, documentation, and treatment of LF systems, support equipment, and real property-installed equipment.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, maintenance trucks, and other heavy equipment as required.
- Install, remove, clean, and replace LF equipment and hardware.
- Perform inspections, inventories, and minor maintenance of vehicles, cranes, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform operator care and minor corrective maintenance on company-owned vehicles and equipment.
- Support quality control, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Comply with all company policies, security directives, and process instructions.
- Perform other refurbishment and corrosion control duties as assigned.
Required Training & Certifications (must be maintained or completed upon hire)
- NCCCO Crane Operator License
- Confined Space Operations
- 24-Hour HAZWOPER & Annual 8-Hour Refresher
- Minuteman III Missile & Explosives Safety
- Information Protection & Quarterly Security Training
- Annual Fire Extinguisher, CPR, and First Aid Training
- Controlled Area & ESD Awareness
- Production Inspector / Corrosion Control Identification
- Technical Data System Familiarization
- Product Quality Deficiency Reporting (PQDR)
- Work Order Reconciliation Training
- General Industrial Safety, including incident response and reporting
- Any additional training directed by the Government, Subcontract Manager, or Contract Manager
Work Environment
- Duties performed in both administrative and industrial settings, including outdoor launch facilities.
- Work may involve lifting, climbing, prolonged standing, confined spaces, and elevated work areas.
- Union-represented position; membership is required.
Compensation: $37.67/hr. CBA rate: $9.33/hr.

- High School Diploma or equivalent (required); related military or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in major equipment repair and/or refurbishment; USAF ICBM maintenance experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical equipment operation and corrosion control processes, including painting equipment and maintenance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; must pass company-directed physical exam.
- Must pass criminal and financial background checks; ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
