This opportunity is in the Information Technology department

Role Description:

Do you enjoy working at the intersection of technology and finance? As a FinOps Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the financial performance of Safety National's IT infrastructure, including Azure cloud usage, on-premise environments, and enterprise licensing. You will spearhead the creation of financial models and dashboards, lead cost review meetings, and define governance policies to drive cost efficiency and accountability across departments.

In this highly collaborative role, you'll work with cross-functional teams including Finance, Procurement, Product, and Engineering to forecast cloud costs, allocate spend accurately, and develop actionable insights. You'll help ensure financial clarity and control by establishing best practices for Azure cost optimization, governance, and infrastructure inventory tracking. Your expertise will help guide our strategic investment in the cloud and drive continual efficiency across our IT operations.

Qualifications:

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

Required Qualifications:



  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
  • 3 or more years of experience in cloud financial operations (FinOps), cloud cost management, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services, pricing models, and cost optimization strategies
  • Proficiency with Azure Cost Management, Power BI, and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Experience with Azure tagging, governance, and subscription management
  • Proficiency in managing infrastructure hardware, network circuits, and licensing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or a similar certification
  • Experience managing Azure spend in a software development environment
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform)
  • Background in financial analysis, accounting, or IT asset management

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
