Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA's core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

The DDC IT department is a multifaceted organization supporting critical business operations across logistics, manufacturing, governance, security, development, and data analytics. The Shop Floor Operations team ensures stable IT systems for 24/7 production, supporting manufacturing assembly and machining environments. The Logistics IT team manages application support for internal and external warehouses, focusing on service delivery, operations, and risk mitigation. Governance and Security functions are embedded in all aspects. The Development and Data Analytics teams drive innovation through projects like RPA automation and data pipelines including supporting technologies like Power BI and Tableau, enabling data-driven decision-making across departments. The Intern(s) will be involved in real-world tasks helping to manage IT requests. They will participate in cybersecurity awareness initiatives along with digital transformation efforts. They will be exposed to the full lifecycle of IT operations from procurement and project tracking to governance and compliance while working alongside experienced professionals.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $30 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Assist with new IT projects and development tasks by gathering user requirements, mapping out existing and new workflows, creating basic wireframes or mockups, and collecting data to support development and testing.
  • Participate in testing features and reporting any issues found.
  • Help write and update technical documentation, including system specifications, data flows, application logic, and system dependencies, using standardized templates and formats.
  • Work closely with team members such as business analysts, technical analysts, developers, and data engineers during project planning and implementation.
  • Support project tracking by updating status reports and following up with team members and business partners on assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and manage support tickets in the IT helpdesk system. Learn how to monitor ticket queues, track technical issues, assign tickets, and ensure timely updates and resolution.
  • Create visually appealing and meaningful reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using tools like Power BI.
  • Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture where everyone belongs

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June)
  • Analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify data patterns, solve problems and make data-driven decisions
  • Presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey project status, issues, resolutions, and/or it related components in a clear and understandable manner
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI)
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Productivity Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Platform Apps)
  • Knowledge of collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint)
  • Understanding of basic security principles (e.g., phishing, password management)
  • Knowledge of basic AI concepts
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
