 Position Overview: We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic HR Generalist/Payroll to join our ambitious HR team. This candidates focus will be in Payroll but will also be involved in various human resource duties. This candidate must have a broad knowledge of human resource functions Essential Duties: 
     
 Responsible for weekly and semimonthly payroll including confirmation, verification of codes, work spans and overtime paymentsAdministration and submittal of annual GWI, bonus payments, vacation payout and other matters related to payroll processingSubmission of Union dues, pension plan report, various invoicesRun and submit reports and analyze data to communicate trends and root causesRespond to day-to-day employee inquiries and requestsGenerate HR analytical reports and metrics using HRIS systemMaintain HR database for employee lifecycle including hiring system, onboarding, and organizational changes.Maintain accurate employee information in HRIS system Support in various administrative responsibilities including the areas of on-boarding, orientation, benefits, transfer, exit, and assignment changes.Coordinate and comply with annual audits of benefit plans.Administers human resources policies, procedures, and programs, including FMLA, disability, tuition reimbursement, work conduct, reimbursement to employees, etcAssists with recruitment effort for exempt, non-exempt personnel and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations.Assist with facility's non-exempt attendance records. Prepares/issues/tracks corrective action for attendance violations.Assist with workplace investigations as needed.Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.Assists with the implementation, auditing, and training of benefit programsFMLA & disability administration including wage calculationsServe as brand ambassador at various events, like career fairs or on-campus recruiting eventsWill be required to perform other HR duties as requested, directed or assigned.

 Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detailAbility to multitask and prioritize daily workload with a positive "can do" attitudeAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesKnowledge of ADP, SAP, similar HRIS System, (1-3 years of experience)Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skillsPrevious Manufacturing experience within a union environment is a plusExtensive comprehension with word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs with emphasis on Microsoft office toolsAbility to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organizationAbility to properly handle confidential informationBilingual English/Spanish verbal and written language skills are a plus
 Education and Experience: 
     
 Education minimum of a 4-year degree (BA or BS) in applicable area or education or experience equivalent.Background in labor relations strongly preferred.Understanding of HR law including FMLA, AADA, HIPPA, EEOC, ADEA, NLRA, ERISA, OSHA, and FLSA.Excellent organizational and communication skills - written and oral.Strong team building and people skills including the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation.Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
