RN III - Surgical Oncology

Position Summary

The RN in our outpatient surgical oncology clinic plays an essential role in coordinating and delivering safe, high-quality nursing care to patients throughout the surgical care continuum. You will support pre-operative education, assist physician in minor procedures, and post-operative processes, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and well cared for.

Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus available!

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Perform nursing assessments and triage for patients (surgical oncology, medical oncology and occasional diabetes patients)
• Provide patient education on surgical procedures, post-op care, and recovery expectations
• Assist with minor outpatient procedures and clinic-based surgical care
• Monitor patient status during post-op visits and coordinate follow-up care
• Administer medications and manage IV lines as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary oncology teams
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic workflow development

Your qualifications should include:

• Associate degree in nursing
• RN III - 3+ years of experience as a RN
• Current California Registered Nurse license

• Current BLS through American Heart Association
