About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Newburyport, MA. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the production of high-quality aerospace components. This position requires a strong understanding of precision machining, aerospace industry standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Location: Newburyport, MA

The job description pertains to duties associated and included with this particular position, but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Be able to develop projects from start to finish
  • Experience designing sheet metal stamping/form tooling a plus
  • May specialize in Stamping, Machining or various Welding disciplines
  • Design Tools/Jigs/Fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot tooling on the manufacturing floor.
  • Design manufacturing rework process for stamping jobs.
  • Design the manufacturing process/packages for stamping/machining
  • Support/Assist shop personnel on projects
  • Maintain and support in-house & outside tooling projects
  • Quoting/Estimating
  • Must follow AS9100 procedures
  • Must have basic knowledge and apply SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and SMED principles

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

  • Microsoft Suite computer skills required
  • Solid Works cad software experience.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience working with sheet metal.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering a plus
