Technical expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps and low-voltage equipment is required. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and maintaining fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems across OUC- operated power plants. The role requires meticulous documentation of inspections in compliance with industry standards, responding to both scheduled maintenance and emergency calls, and working at elevated heights when necessary. Salary Range: Starting at $37.776 per hour (Estimated $78,574.08 annually) with a structured step progression system and performance-based pay increases every 6 months up to $43.663 per hour (Estimated $90,819.04 annually). Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32831 Please see below a complete Job description for this position Job Purpose: Responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, replacement and preventative maintenance of OUC's power plant fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and associated equipment. The Fire Protection Tech II classification is expected to hone and develop the mastery of their specialization, focusing on the fire protection systems of all OUC operated Power Plants. They are expected to be able to work independently on simple to moderate maintenance tasks. Fire Protection Tech II works with low voltages (up to 480VAC). Systems and equipment include but are not limited to: Pumps, compressors, piping, valves, associated auxiliary electrical/control system, etc. Primary Functions:

Working Conditions: This job requires a willingness to work extended hours when required including nights, weekends, and holidays. This job requires working in areas with elevations in excess of 100 feet, confined spaces, excessive noise, chemicals, noxious fumes, vibration, extreme heat (non-weather), insects, and occasionally extreme weather conditions. This job involves the risk of electrical shock. Physical Requirements: This job includes constant or very frequent standing, walking, sitting, climbing, speaking fluent and understanding (English), typing, and detailed inspection/reading/editing. This job involves frequent lifting up to 40 lbs., and occasional lifting 50+ lbs., bending/stooping, pushing, pulling, and/or digging, reaching over head, and kneeling/crawling. This job requires regular use of company vehicles.
