The Electrical Products Group was recently purchased from Avail Infrastructure Solutions by nVent Electric plc ("nVent") and consists of three business units, Enclosure Systems, Switchgear Systems and Bus Systems. As a part of nVent, theElectrical Products Group is a leading provider of infrastructure solutions, designed to help ensure safe and reliable electrical operations primarily in the infrastructure vertical, including power utilities and data centers.

As our Senior Production Planner, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our manufacturing operations stay on track, on time, and on target. This is your opportunity to lead cross-functional collaboration, optimize production planning, and apply modern tools, analytics, and lean concepts to drive efficiencies in a growing and dynamic environment.

YOU HAVE:

  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree preferred (Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field). Equivalent experience/training accepted. 5-7 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or master scheduling in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of production processes, materials planning, lean concepts, and capacity analysis.

  • SKILLS & TOOLS: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI and automation tools like Power Automate. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and lead without formal authority across teams.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Develop, manage, and optimize detailed production and master schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and to ensure on-time delivery of our customer orders.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to forecast demand, plan materials, and prevent production disruptions.

  • Analyze plant capacity, material availability, and workforce requirements to align production priorities.

  • Adjust schedules based on changing work order specs, material availability, labor, and equipment.

  • Monitor and report on production progress; resolve scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks proactively.

  • Leverage ERP/MRP systems and tools like Power BI to improve scheduling workflows.

  • Prepare documentation for production sequences, staffing schedules, and material or repair orders.

  • Communicate regularly with leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment on schedule changes and their impact on financial and production goals.
