The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Brain Donation Coordinator in the Division of Aging & Dementia and in the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain at Columbia University Irving Medical Center will be working as part of several federally funded research projects which follow aging persons who intend to provide their brains to research at the time of death. The coordinator will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator of the study. The Coordinator will report to the respective PI and will be responsible for the recruitment and management of the "brain donation autopsy program" component of the Alzheimer's disease Research Center, which works in support of other brain aging research projects including but not limited to those focused on Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis (MS).
