Job Title: Surgical Technologist Location: Nellis Air Force Base, NV 89191 Duration: Long Term Shift: 7:30-4:30 (Clinic)/06:30-3:30 (OR as scheduled) (Mon-Fri) Education & Certification: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military equivalent. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Tech-in-Surgery (TS-C), or Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) certification. Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or approved). Certified Endoscope Reprocess or preferred but not required. Required Experience: Minimum 3 years surgical scrub experience in an accredited healthcare facility. Familiarity with robotic procedures preferred. Role & Responsibilities: Prepare, inspect, and manage surgical instruments and supplies for colorectal, general surgery, plastics, trauma, and robotic procedures. Maintain sterile environment and assist in patient positioning and anesthesia administration. Perform high-level disinfection of endoscopes and surgical equipment per guidelines. Assist physicians and nursing staff during surgical and diagnostic procedures. Maintain inventory, clean procedure rooms, and support administrative tasks including patient scheduling and record keeping. Educate staff on robotic systems and participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives. Skills & Knowledge: Strong knowledge of anatomy, asepsis, sterile techniques, infection control, and surgical pharmacology. Skilled in handling surgical and diagnostic equipment, including Da Vinci robotic system. Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare team and maintain compliance with safety standards. Basic computer proficiency for healthcare documentation. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, lift, and assist with patient positioning throughout the day. Manual dexterity for handling instruments and equipment in a fast-paced OR environment
