Position Description

ENSCO, Inc. is seeking an INFOSEC/Cybersecurity Specialist (Level 2) to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Cybersecurity Group within the NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) Directorate. This position will contribute to the engineering, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise cybersecurity solutions that protect the National Airspace System (NAS) from evolving threats. The selected candidate will perform technical cybersecurity assessments, review system security documentation, and support the integration of security requirements into system architectures. Responsibilities include developing and managing cybersecurity toolsets for asset management and threat modeling, safeguarding access to sensitive systems and data, and ensuring compliance with FAA and federal security standards. The role will also involve analyzing proposed system changes for potential security impacts, providing recommendations for risk mitigation, and supporting the transition of solutions into operational environments. Additional duties include preparing risk assessments, technical documentation, and executive-level briefings; collaborating with engineering, architecture, and operations teams; and supporting incident investigation and response activities.

Qualifications Required




  • Bachelor's degree in a related information technology field (may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience)



  • 15-20 years of experience (Master's degree may substitute for 3 years; PhD may substitute for 7 years)



  • Possess any industry-recognized certification relevant to the required work (Security+, CISSP, CISM, etc.)



  • Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-series and FIPS requirements



  • Proficiency in enterprise cybersecurity tools, asset management systems, and threat modeling platforms



  • Experience conducting vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and implementing security improvements for enterprise systems



  • Familiarity with configuration management processes



  • Ability to work both independently and as a technical lead on projects



  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)




Qualifications Desired




  • Experience working with the FAA ATO



  • Working knowledge of OMB mandates and federal risk management frameworks



  • Experience with federal cybersecurity programs or other high-security mission-critical environments



  • Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity practices such as cloud security, Zero Trust, and supply chain risk management



  • Active SECRET security clearance
