Position Description

ENSCO, Inc. is seeking an INFOSEC/Cybersecurity Specialist (Level 3) to provide advanced cybersecurity engineering support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Cybersecurity Group within the NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) Directorate. This position plays a key role in developing, integrating, and managing enterprise cybersecurity capabilities and toolsets that protect the National Airspace System (NAS) from sophisticated threats. The selected candidate will lead technical assessments of complex systems, evaluate proposed changes for potential cybersecurity impacts, and ensure that enterprise and system-level architectures meet stringent federal and FAA security requirements. Responsibilities include overseeing the design, implementation, and sustainment of advanced cybersecurity tools for asset management and threat modeling, managing secure repositories, and integrating security processes and data flows across the organization. Additional duties include producing authoritative risk assessments, guiding the resolution of high-impact security issues, and preparing executive-level briefings and technical documentation. The role will also mentor junior team members, collaborate with engineering and architecture teams on enterprise initiatives, and provide technical leadership during cybersecurity incident investigations, compliance reviews, and operational readiness activities.

Qualifications Required




  • Bachelor's degree in a related information technology field (may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience)



  • 10-15 years of experience (Master's degree may substitute for 3 years; PhD may substitute for 7 years)



  • Possess any industry-recognized certification relevant to the required work (Security+, CISSP, CISM, etc.)



  • Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-series and FIPS guidelines



  • Experience with cybersecurity tool operation, secure repository management, and access control administration



  • Familiarity with asset management systems and threat modeling concepts



  • Ability to conduct basic vulnerability assessments and assist in remediation tracking



  • Strong documentation and communication skills



  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)




Qualifications Desired




  • Experience working with the FAA ATO



  • Experience supporting incident response or compliance audit activities



  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity toolsets such as vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms, asset management tools, or configuration management repositories



  • Active SECRET security clearance
