Job Summary

Participate in the design, development, and unit testing of moderate to complex areas of the software application development with a focus on problem solving, development sprints, and innovative product programming.

Essential Functions/Performance Dimensions and Tasks

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:



  • Administration

    • Own, document, and communicate the design of the framework
    • Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status


  • Software Programming

    • Design and develop software systems by writing quality, stable, scalable, and maintainable code based on internal business requirements
    • Contribute to vision of the application and to ensure its on-going quality
    • Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing, and ongoing support of business systems
    • Perform Quality Assurance Testing and modify existing software to correct errors to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance
    • Extend the modular framework upon which the application's functionality will be built
    • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system
    • Problem-solve using a methodical implementation process
    • Provide instruction, guidance and mentoring to junior team members concerning their code.
    • Perform code review of other colleagues' work


  • Customer Service

    • Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance


  • Other functions, duties, and tasks assigned

Job Specifications



  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree
  2. 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer
  3. Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience using C#, SQL, .Net Framework, Angular, Azure DevOps Services, React.js, and Microservices
    • 5+ years of experience working with T-SQL (including the development of stored procedures, views, and triggers)
    • 3-5 years of experience using ASP.Net Web Forms
    • 3-5 years of experience using ASP.Net MVC
    • 3-5 years of experience with web technologies (including JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XML)
    • Experience with Bootstrap and JQuery
    • Preferred-Experience with ASP.NET Core
    • Preferred - Experience with WCF/ASP.Net Web API
    • Preferred - Experience with SSRS and/or SSIS
    • 3-5 years of experience with developing and deploying cloud apps/services to Azure
    • 3-5 years of experience with using front end libraries such as Angular.

Required Knowledge: Knowledge of design patterns and object-oriented design practices; a clear understanding of an Agile development methodology; experience in, delivering new or enhanced software products, tools and techniques for converting requirements into the software product design and implementation, managing versions and distribution of software products and enhancements, testing strategies and tactics to ensure software products quality and adherence to stated requirements; knowledge of and the ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects ensuring the utilization of technical resources to better achieve project objectives; principles and processes for providing customer service; structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer) in addition to a strong technical understanding of the various supported hardware, software and networking systems.

Job Context: The majority of work will be performed indoors in an environmentally controlled setting. Some property inspections and conferences will require travel and performing work outside of a controlled office setting. The work environment also includes the following: business casual; frequent contact with others via e-mail, telephone, face-to-face, letters and memos; daily decisions which have high impact on co-workers and company results; a high level of autonomy within highly structured process flows; and, may frequently include working beyond 40 hours per week.
